It all started with a knock on a door.
At 17, I landed in Australia with a backpack, a student visa, and a whole lot of hope. I had moved there to earn my bachelor’s degree—but between tuition, rent, and everyday bills, I had to hustle just to get by. That’s how I ended up knocking on doors, selling solar.
It wasn’t easy. I walked streets in the summer heat, facing rejection more often than not. But I kept going—because I believed in earning every dollar the right way. No shortcuts. Just honest work, real conversations, and heart.
And over time, something clicked. I realized this work had meaning. I wasn’t just selling panels—I was helping people lower their bills, gain energy independence, and make a positive impact.
Years later, I moved to Canada to pursue my master’s degree. The plan was to study, graduate, and move on. But I fell in love with this country. The people, the landscapes, the energy—it all just felt right. So I stayed.
And I knew exactly what I wanted to do next.

When I first looked at the solar market in British Columbia, I noticed a major gap. Most solar companies were only serving areas within a 50-100 km radius, leaving vast communities across the province underserved. These companies weren’t going out of their way to educate or inform people about the benefits of solar. They weren’t knocking on doors or providing information without cost. It was all about selling, not about serving.
I wanted to change that. I wanted to ensure that people in every corner of BC—whether in a busy city or a quiet town—had access to clean, affordable, and empowering energy. That’s why True Value Energy isn’t confined to one area. We’ve made it our mission to provide solar solutions across all of BC, going wherever we’re needed, and bringing solar energy education and solutions to every doorstep.
We don’t just sell solar—we’re here to make an impact. To serve with purpose. To be transparent, clear, and to build lasting trust with every installation.
